Group Tours Package Atlanta Has Something For Every Visitor To The City

By James Collins

If you are heading to the hub of the South for your latest vacation, traveling with a group of friends will make it even more fun. There is plenty to do in the capital. The City of Trees has a natural history museum and a world class aquarium. No matter what your interests and tastes, there is a group tours package Atlanta just right for you and your friends.

When you are just passing through, you can take a One Day in Atlanta excursion. You start off in the morning visiting the Georgia Aquarium before moving on to Centennial Park. This was the main gathering spot during the 1996 Olympics. After lunch you will go through the World of Coca-Cola and spend time at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site.

For first time visitors one of the Must See tours is a good option. You'll take in Coca-Cola World and Centennial Park. You can have lunch on top of the tallest hotel in this half of the world. The Sundial Restaurant revolves so you can see the sights from every angle. You will have a chance to tour CNN Atlanta and learn how the professionals create news broadcasts.

For visitors interested in African American history, the city has a rich civil rights background. It is highlighted in the Civil Rights and Beyond package. Groups tour Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and Freedom Hall, all located in the Sweet Auburn District. There is a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts at Spellman College as well as Hammond House Galleries. Supper is served at Paschal's Restaurant at Castleberry Hill.

No visit to Georgia would be complete without touring the Gone With the Wind attractions. Margaret Mitchell's home is open to the public and includes a museum featuring Tara's front door. The Cyclorama depicts the Civil War Battle of Atlanta in an amazing 360 degree panorama. Just south of the city you can see Stately Oaks, a circa 1839 plantation.

For those families with kids the city has special excursions sure to interest the youngest in your group. The kids will enjoy watching the aquatic displays at Georgia Aquarium and taste testing sodas at the World of Coca-Cola. The most adventurous will try the bison burgers grilled to perfection at Ted's Montana Grill. If you have older kids, you might choose touring CNN. For the younger ones, the Children's Museum is a special treat.

For those unsure about how much time they will have and want to visit attractions on their own, the city offers a CityPASS. This gives visitors up to 40 percent off several of the city's most popular attractions. You can use the passes for nine days after you activate them. Discounts include visits to the zoo, the natural history museum, the aquarium, the College Football Hall of Fame and CNN.

There is a lot to do and see in Georgia's capital. It is a world class city with diversity, culture, and plenty of American history. Whatever your interests, will be a tour package right for you.
